Osoyoos is a small community in the South Okanagan region of British Columbia, located approximately 4,845 people. Situated on the eastern shore of Osoyoos Lake, the town sits in Canada’s only true desert climate zone, characterized by hot, dry summers and mild winters. The name derives from the Okanagan word “s-oo-yoos,” meaning “narrowing of the waters,” referring to the lake’s geography.

Osoyoos Lake is a significant draw for summer visitors. The town serves as a gateway to the Okanagan Valley wine region and maintains a pedestrian-friendly downtown core along Main Street.
